Ventana implements Restructuring Program and continues to invest in 2020

With the aerospace sector hard hit by the Covid crisis, Airbus production being down by 40%, Boeing production down by 80%, Ventana has implemented an extensive restructuring program.

The newly acquired subsidiary in Casablanca has been shut down. In all abt. 230 redundancies have been announced and are being implemented.

Despite the downturn, Ventana continues to invest heavily in its plants and in process development. Its Toulouse foundry has undergone a € 4 m. renovation and upgrade, including the installation of a 3-D sand core printing machine.

This equipment is redundant with the 3-D printer at the Arudy foundry and allows development time for new castings to be cut from years to weeks.
